Today was a good day!! We went to Children's Mercy Hospital for Makenna's final surgery (well...scheduled surgery.). Ryan did great again. He acted much better at the Hospital than he's been at home lately! He's had a very messed up school schedule and he's letting me know he doesn't like his routine messed up! ANYWAY, Makenna did great! The cyst was huge and although I have a picture I'll save you from having to look at that. I'm just glad it's out of her little body. Here are pics of me and Makenna right before they took her for surgery and then Ryan talking to the lady at the desk sitting under the big tree!! He walked right up to her and said "I remember you from last time!!" and she said to him "I don't think I'll EVER forget you!!" She remembered his name, how old he was, the fact that he was a preschooler and not a kindergartner, even that he liked Bakugan!! He talked to her endlessly and he actually listened to her when she talked back! I went to the desk and asked her some questions about walking to Truman Medical Center since a friends son is there in ICU from a car accident on Saturday night. She gave me all the information and then pulled out a slip of paper and asked me his name. I gave it to her and she said "thank you, I'd really like to pray for him." I'm amazed at how many people out there are willing to lift up perfect strangers to our Lord! I got even happier when I got over there and Ben was breathing on his own!! It shows me that God truly IS at work!
